Tabu as social activist?

Tabu is making her comeback in Telugu cinema after a long time with Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s film and she has already signed two more Telugu projects. We have already reported that she has signed an upcoming Telugu movie Virata Parvam 1992, in which Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi will play the lead roles. According to the latest update, Tabu will be seen playing the role of social activist whereas Sai Pallavi as Naxal in Venu Udugula’s directorial venture, who is popular for delivering Naadi Needi Oke Kadha fame

The sources close to the film unit reveal that recently Venu Udugula flew to Mumbai to narrate the story to Tabu. She immediately gave her nod after listening to the script and finding it really interesting. Though Tabu has given her verbal contest but did not sign the project yet. The project Virata Parvam 1992, tipped to be an action-drama, is expected to go on the floors from July.

Meanwhile, Tabu is waiting for the release of her upcoming Bollywood film, De De Pyaar De in which she will be seen essaying the role of Ajay Devgn’s ex-wife. Rakul Preet Singh is playing the female lead role. The recently released trailer of De De Pyaar De showcased a romantic comedy in which an older man falls for a younger girl. The movie is arriving at the theaters on 17th April 2019.

Tabu made her Telugu debut with Sisindri starring Nagarjuna, Giribabu, Tanikella Bharani, Sudhakar, Aamani, Sarath Babu, Subhalekha Sudhaka, in 1995, where she played the role of cameo.

In Trivikram Srinivas’s directorial venture Alakananda, Tabu will be seen playing the role of Allu Arjun’ mom whereas Pooja Hegde will play the female lead.
