Vaishnav Tej is making his debut with upcoming romantic film Uppena under the direction of Buchi Babu Sana, who is Sukumar’ protege. Sensational music composer Devi Sri Prasad composed ‘Nee Kannu Neeli Samudram’ song which is continuing to rule the charts on YouTube. Nee Kannu Neeli Samudram is very soothing and romantic melody. The lyrics is penned by Shreemani and it depicts the love story of Vaishnav Tej with Krithi Shetty. According to the latest update, Nee Kannu Neeli Samudram from Vaishnav Tej and Kriti Shetty starrer Uppena has garnered 40 million plus views on Aditya Music’ channel, which is a huge feat for a movie that has newcomers in the lead roles.
Uppena also features Kollywood star Vijay Sethupathi as the main antagonist. While Panja Vaishnav Tej, the brother of Sai Dharam Tej, is playing the role of a fisherman named Aasi, Kriti Shetty will be seen as college student Sangeeta.
Uppena is said to be a rustic love story and is made on a budget of Rs 20 crores. Vaishnav Tej starrer is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. The movie was slated to hit the theaters on 2nd April but the makers postponed it’s release due to coronavirus outbreak. The new release date of Uppena will be announced when the lockdown is lifted.
