It is known news that Megastar Chiranjeevi has bagged the Telugu remake rights of Malayalam blockbuster political drama, Lucifer in which Mohanlal played the lead role. Earlier it was heard that Chiranjeevi was planning to lock a director who can handle the script keeping up with the flow of the original script and zeroed in Rangasthalam fame Sukumar for it. But it seems he has dropped the idea.
Until recently, there have been several speculations on the director who will be directing the Telugu remake of Lucifer. And now Chiranjeevi himself has put an end to all the rumors. Recently during the media interaction, Chiranjeevi himself revealed that Sujeeth will direct Lucifer’ Telugu remake.
Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy star Chiranjeevi has also revealed that he had asked Sujeeth to pen the script for the Telugu version of Lucifer. Sujeeth’ previous offering was action thriller Saaho in which Young Rebel Star Prabhas and Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor played the lead roles. While Saaho had turned out to be a disappointment, But Chiranjeevi is impressed with the work of Sujeeth. An official announcement regarding Lucifer remake is expected once the lockdown ends.
Meanwhile Chiranjeevi is working with Koratala Siva for social message oriented movie Acharya.
