Recently on the occasion of Young Tiger Jr NTR’ birthday, the makers of upcoming film RRR unveiled the intro teaser- Ramaraja for Bheem, that went viral on the social media and grabbed several eyeballs. Jr NTR was seen in a Muslim man’s avatar in the RRR teaser. According to few, it is a distortion of history given that Komaram Bheem- played by Jr NTR, was a tribal leader who fought the Razakars. Now according to the latest update, some Adivasis have raised objections to Kumaram Bheem wearing a skull cap in RRR teaser.
The reason for Adivasis’ anger is a scene in which Jr NTR, who is playing the role of the Adivasi legend Kumaram Bheem, is shown wearing a white kurta and a white skull cap. Kumaram Bheem had fought against Nizam’s forces for water, jungle and land rights.
Some Adivasis are condemning to project Kumaram Bheem in ‘a poor light’ though they welcomed a movie on the legendary tribal warrior. Adivasi youth Pedore Sungu of Adilabad district said that there was no ‘Muslim role’ in the history of Kumaram Bheem.
A video also went viral on the social media in which a youth chanting Hindu religious slogans has raised objections for such scenes and warned the director SS Rajamouli of Baahubali fame, of obstruction as the scene was insulting sentiments of a section of the people. The person also demanded SS Rajamouli to delete the scene.
