Former Telangana Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy passes away

Former Home Minister and Member of Legislative Council Nayani Narasimha Reddy passed away at 12: 25 am while undergoing treatment at a corporate hospital in Hyderabad. He had fully recovered from Coronavirus but was later admitted to the hospital with complications.

Apollo Hospital released a statement  that reads: Mr Nayini Narsimha Reddy passed away at 12.25 am. He was admitted a week ago for post Coronavirus complications with extensive lung damage.

Nayani Narasimha Reddy had tested positive for Coronavirus recently and later tested negative. However, he died while undergoing for lung-related problems.

Telangana  Chief Minister KCR recalled his association with former Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy during the Telangana separate statehood movement and in the state government. KC On Wednesday, CM KCR met Nayani Narasimha Reddy’ family at the hospital after his condition was said to be critical.

Finance Minister Harish Rao, Deputy speaker of Assembly and former minister T Padma Rao Goud, Minister of Tourism, Prohibition and Excise V Srinivas Goud, Minister for Agriculture and Marketing Singireddy Niranjan Reddy expressed condolences.

Nayani Narasimha Reddy, a founder leader of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi, was the first Home Minister of the state post its formation between 2014 and 2018.  He was born in Neredugommu village in Devarakonda mandal in Nalgonda district.
