National award winning actress Kangan Ranaut is playing the role of late Tamil Nadu chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in the upcoming film Thalaivi. Now according to the latest update, Madhoo Shah has been roped in Thalaivi to essay the role of MGR’ wife Janaki.
Recently Madhoo Shah spoke on a number of issues in an exclusive live chat on the Facebook page of the. During this she also spoke about her next film ‘Thalaivi’. In this conversation, Roja actress also spoke on issues like comparing women to men, Hathras gangrape and body shaming. When Madhoo Shah was asked about her role in Thalaivi, to which she replied: “I am essaying MGR’ wife Janaki Ramachandran in the biopic of Jayalalithaa’ Amma ‘. I never met Janaki Amma, but have met Jayalalithaaji. Amma gave me the State Award for the movie Roja.”
Madhoo Shah added, “The director has recorded all the nuances required to essay the role of Janaki Amma in a video. Before starting the shoot, he showed us the video and asked me to reprise the character according to it. I watch the clips of Janaki Amma and try to ace her mannerisms. “
