Puri Jaganandh’ directorial venture- the action and romantic movie iSmart Shankar, was a blockbuster at the box office. In this film, the young and energetic actor Ram Pothineni, Nabha Natesh and Nidhhi Agerwal played the lead roles. Now, Ram Pothineni starrer iSmart Shankar is all set to be remade in Hindi as well. A popular production house of Bollywood has acquired the remake rights of this action drama iSmart Shankar and they are considering the name of Ranveer Singh to play the lead role .
The name of Ranbir Kapoor was also doing rounds but the makers are planning to approach Ranveer Singh.
Already remakes of South movies like Kaithi, Vikram Vedha, HIT, Jersey, DJ, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Jigarthanda and many more are being made in Hindi. The sources say that Ranveer Singh is a versatile actor and he is fit for the role. Now we have to wait and see whether Ranveer Singh gives his nod for iSmart Shankar remake or not.
Meanwhile Ranveer Singh has already wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming film 83, which has Deepika Padukone. He has also completed the shooting for Jordaar. Apart from these movies, Ranveer Singh also a part of Rohit Shetty’ film “Sooryavanshi” which will hit the theaters next year.
