According to the latest update, the NCB– Narcotics Control Bureau, has arrested Saavdhan India and CID fame Television actress Preetika Chauhan and drug peddler Faisal on charges of possession of drugs. Narcotics Control Bureau -Mumbai Zonal Unit officials caught Preetika Chauhan and Faisal late Saturday evening from Fishermen’s Village at Versova, and seized 99 gm ‘ganja’ from their possession. Both confessed to sourcing it from one Deepak Rathaur living in Versova.
The Narcotics Control Bureau said that Preetika Chauhan and Faisal were presented in a designated court on Sunday for remand and further investigations are underway.
Preetika Chauhan hailing from Himachal Pradesh, is well known face for the TV lovers as she has worked in several Television serials like CID, Savdhaan India, Maa Vaishnodevi. and Hanuman in the past 5 years.
During the interrogation, it came out that the ganja was sourced from Deepak Rathaur, a resident of Versova. According to the latest report, Deepak Rauthar has also been arrested by the Mumbai Anti-Narcotics Cell for allegedly supplying the drugs.
Another Narcotics Control Bureau Mumbai team seized 325 grams of ganja, 32 grams of charas and 5 grams of methamphetamine, as well as Rs 12,990, from a vehicle. One more person was arrested in this drug case.
