Ramu is one of the popular Kannada producer and he is the husband of actress Malashree. According to the latest report, producer Ramu, who is known as Croreparti Ramu, passed away on Monday due to Covid-19 related complications in a hospital. He took his last breath in Bengaluru. Ramu  was 52. In his career in the film industry, Ramu produced over 30 projects, including  AK47, CBI Durga, Kalasipalya and Lockup Death.

Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar took to his Twitter handle to pay his tribute to producer Rama as he wrote on microblogging page “One of the most passionate Movie Producers of KFI, Ramu Sir is no more. RIP.”

Ramu was the first Kannada producer who ventured to produce a Kannada film with a budget of more than Rs 1 crore, for which he earned the  nick name Koti Ramu. He  had been active in the film industry for nearly  three decades

AK47 producer Ramu was being treated at M S Ramaiah Hospital in Bengaluru, where he breathed his last. Ramu and Kannada film superstar Malashree have two children.  The couple had teamed up to make some of the most popular action thrillers.
