We have already reported that icon star Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde’s 2020 Sankranthi blockbuster, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, is going to Bollywood. Young stars Karthik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon have been roped in this action and family drama to play the female lead roles. Now according to the latest report, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ Hindi remake has been titled Shehzada in which Kartik Aaryan will reprise the role of Allu Arjun from the original.
Veteran Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal has also been roped in to play the crucial role, whereas Manisha Koirala is said to be playing Tabu’ role. The upcoming film Sekhada starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon will be jointly produced by Ekta Kapoor and Allu Aravind and helmed by Rohit Dhawan.
Bollywood producer Ekta kapoor is said to have named the family drama after late actor Rajesh Khanna and Rakhi starrer 1972 Bollywood drama, that was set during the British Raj. Paresh Rawal will play the character of Kartik’s father, which was essayed by Jayaram in the original.
The sources close to the makers revealed that Rohit Dhawan and his team of writers have adapted ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ keeping in mind the criticism the film received for its predictable storyline and narrative, and they are trying to make it better with a strong screenplay.
