South beauty Samantha Akkineni recently hit the mark of 17 million followers on Instagram. The Ye Maaya Chesave and U turn fame actress recently crossed the milestone of 17 million followers on Instagram.
Samantha, who is married to King Nagarjuna’s son, actor Naga Chaitanya, uses the medium to update fans about her professional life. During the lockdown, Majili girl used the platform to keep fans posted about her activities, and how she was coping up.
On the work front, Samantha Akkineni will be seen playing the titular character in upcoming drama Shakuntalam. She is playing Shakuntala while Malayalam actor Dev Mohan will be seen in the role of King Dushyantha. Directed by Gunasekhar, the upcoming mythological drama Shakuntalam is based on Kalidasa’s epic Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam. On the otherside, Samantha is also working on a Tamil film, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, which is being helmed by Vignesh Shivan.
She was last seen in the web drama The Family Man 2 starring Manoj Bajpayee. It also featured Sharad Kelkar along with Priyamani, Sunny Hinduja, Sharib Hashmi, Darshan Kumaar, Shreya Dhanwantary, Shahab Ali, Vedant Sinha and Mahek Thakur in the crucial roles.
