It is a known fact that Samantha Akkineni is playing the title role of Shakuntalam in Gunasekhar’ directorial venture while Malayalam actor Dev Mohan is essaying the role of King Dushyant. As the effect of Coronavirus second wave is subsiding, Telugu film industry is slowly but getting back on track. Now the reports are coming that Samantha Akkineni has also decided to come back on the sets of her upcoming projects. The makers of Shakuntalam are planning to resume the shoot in the last week of June month and Samantha Akkineni has also given her green signal.
The crew which will be working on Gunasekhar’ Shakuntalam has been fully vaccinated and they are ready to get back to work.
Earlier during an interview, Gunasekhar had said that he was very happy to be associated with the producer Dil Raju. And one could imagine the scale of the film and the making when producer like Dil Raju come forward rendering the support. Gunasekhar is also very happy to introduce his daughter Neelima who studied Masters’ in Art and Visual Culture.
Samantha and Dev Mohan starrer Shakuntalam is all about the love story of King Dushyantha and Shakuntala, daughter of Apsara Menaka and sage Vishwamitra.
