Vishnu Manchu, the son of Mohan Babu, who won the Movies Artistes Association – MAA elections last week, took the oath as the president of MAA today. The MAA is the apex body of Tollywood, and polls are held every two years to elect 26 members of the association. We have already reported that Manchu Vishnu defeated Prakash Raj to win the presidency in a heated campaign. Manchu Vishnu’ oath ceremony took place at the Film Nagar Cultural Centre in Hyderabad. The oath taking ceremony was attended by personalities like Mohan Babu, previous MAA President Naresh, and Telangana Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav.
First Manchu Vishnu took the pledge followed by the other panel members. During the oath-taking ceremony, the members took the pledge, saying that they will work for the association.
MAA Returning Officer Krishnamohan has administered an oath taking ceremony with Manchu Vishnu and his panel members. Later, he distributed certificates to EC members.
Senior Tollywood actor Mohan Babu and Manchu Vishnu’s wife and his children were also present.
Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna skipped the oath taking ceremony of Manchu Vishnu. While Nandamuri Balakrishna was invited to the ceremony, though there is no any confirmation whether Chiru was invited to the ceremony or not.
