We have already reported that Pen Studios will release the much hyped movies RRR, Gangubai Kathiawadi, and Attack in cinema halls. Today morning the industry tracker confirmed that Pen Studios is glad to announce that their most-awaited film Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s #GangubaiKathiawadi will release on 18th February, 2022.
In this film Alia Bhatt is playing the title role of Gangubai, one of the most powerful, loved and respected madams from Kamathipura during 1960s. Gangubai Kathiawadi also stars Seema Pahwa. Ajay Devgn and Huma Qureshi are playing the cameos. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is co-producing the film with Gadas Pen India Limited. The movie also stars Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari, Seema Pahwa. Initially Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus “Gangubai Kathiawadi”, starring Alia Bhatt, was slated to hit the theaters on 6th January but now it has been pushed from its scheduled release in January to 18th February next year.
In this manner, Gangubai Kathiawadi will not clash with SS Rajamouli’ directorial venture RRR at the box office, which is arriving at the theaters on 7th January. In both the movies, Alia Bhatt is playing the female lead.
RRR also has Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn and Olivia Morris, which is bankrolled by DVV Danayya.
