The period drama Ponniyin Selvan collected Rs 26.72 crore on the second day of the second week and took its nine-day total to Rs 350.78 crore.

He is expected to get a bigger role in the second part. The much-anticipated and big budget film opened to positive responses from both critics and audiences.
