Curious case of Balakrishna and his Fans

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s dream project NTR biopic’s second part NTR Mahanayakudu, which was released on 22nd February 2019, is also turning out disaster at the box office. Upset Balakrishna is not able to understand, why his fans are rejecting the movie. The makers of NTR Mahanayakudu are planning all the strategies to grab the attention of his fans to the theaters. On the otherside, Nandamuri Balakrishna has different plan, he is planning to call his fans for a meeting as he wants to enquire, what are the reasons behind the failure of NTR biopic? Balakrishna is curious enough to know why his fans are not ready to support him. Why are they not ready to watch the film- NTR Mahanayakudu? The presidents of all the districts are expected to meet their favourite star Balakrishna very soon.

NTR biopic is directed by Krish, in which Balakrishna played the role of his father, actor and late Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao whereas Vidya Balan played NTR’s first wife.  The movie had created much hype and curiosity when it was announced. But after the release, both parts turned out commercially flop at the box office.

NTR Mahanayakudu has been facing rejection since its opening day at the box office. Though the performance of Balakrishna, Rana Daggubati, Vidya Balan and Kalyan Ram won accolades and appreciation from the audience, but, their performance hasn’t helped the movie to put the box office on fire. The traders are expecting that  NTR Mahanayakudu could earn up to Rs 5 to 8 Cr approximately in its theatrical run.

On the otherside, NTR biopic’s first part NTR Kathanayakudu earned reportedly Rs 20.62 Cr, and left a loss of Rs 50 to 80 Cr. Balakrishna’s ‘NTR Kathanayakudu collections are worse than Ram Charan’s Vinaya Vidheya Rama which left only Rs 30 cr losses.
