The heinous murder of veterinary doctor Priyanka Reddy has sparked a national outcry. The 26-year-old, Priyanka Reddy who went missing on Wednesday night, was found charred to death in Telangana. Several celebrities and politicians have expressed grief over this incident and demanded justice to the victim. South Indian actress Anushka Shetty took to Instagram to share an emotional note. Though Baahubali star Prabhas maintained silent his costar Anushka Shetty has reacted in a very strong manner. Anushka Shetty posted a very angry message on her Facebook and Instagram, saying being a woman is a crime in today’s society.
Anushka Shetty also stated that such ghastly criminals should be harshly punished. Four men have been detained in Priyanka Reddy’s rape and murder case and an investigation is on regarding this case.
The entire Telugu film fraternity expressed their shock and anger regarding the brutal rape and murder of Priyanka Reddy on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Priyanka who had gone missing on Wednesday night was found dead on Thursday morning and her burnt body was found at a distance of 30 km from where her two-wheeler had suffered a flat tyre.
Not only Anushka Shetty, several other divas like Keerthy Suresh, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Yami Gautam, Raashi Khanna, Lavanya Tripathi, but Mehreen and others have also reacted over the incident of rape and murder of Priyanka Shetty.
Prabhas and Anushka Shetty are good friends and currently, both are working for their upcoming projects. Anushka Shetty is waiting for the release of her upcoming silent thriller drama Nishabdham whereas Prabhas is getting ready to start the shoot of his next romantic saga Jaan, which will be helmed by Radha Krishna Kumar.
Prabhas was last seen in action-drama Saaho, directed by Sujeeth, which ended up commercially flop at the box office whereas Anushka Shetty was seen playing a cameo in Chiranjeevi starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, where she essayed Rani Lakshmibai.
