Few months ago, Megastar Chiranjeevi surprised his fans by announcing that he will be playing the lead role in the upcoming Telugu movie, which is remake of hit Malayalam film Lucifer. Sujeeth of Saaho fame has been roped in to Lucifer remake to direct the film. Now according to the latest buzz in the film industry, the makers of Chiranjeevi starrer Lucifer remake have approached actor Rahman to play the role of main villain. The actor was last seen in the movie, and now he is going to work with Megastar.
The sources revealed that Rahman will be seen playing the antagonist in the Lucifer remake, a role that was played by Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi in the original version. As Rahman was very impressed with his character in this film, he gave his nod immediately.
An official announcement regarding the inclusion of Rahman in Chiranjeevi starrer will be made in the month of August.
The reports are also coming that Bollywood actor and Vinaya Vidheya Rama villain Vivek Oberoi himself was initially considered to play the role. However, he was not interested to act in the remake. Recently it was also heard that veteran actress Suhasini Mani Ratnam has been roped in to play the role of Chiranjeevi’ sister.
