After delivering successful movie Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Young Rebel Star Prabhas came up with action thriller drama Saaho, which was directed by Sujeeth Reddy. Though it’s Telugu version was a dud at the box office but Hindi version of Saaho was a hit. Now Prabhas starrer Saaho has created a record in Japan.
Japan is one of the very few countries that has reopened the theatres during these pandemic times. Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho is said to have created a new benchmark in terms of opening collections in Japan for an Indian movie. After Baahubali, Prabhas has not only acquired craze all around India but has also succeeded in gaining fandoms in various countries. And Japan is one of them. The theatres in Japan have reopened just a few days ago and Prabhas’ film Saaho is now being screened in Japan.
Saaho has become the highest opener with $110K for an Indian film by surpassing Hindi film, Dangal starring Aamir Khan. Prabhas starrer Sahoo also managed to find a place among the top 5 all time grossers in Japan. The other films ahead of Sahoo are English Vinglish, 3 Idiots, Muthu and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.
