Director Venu Udugula’s first film Needi Naadi Oke Katha in 2018, opened to critical appreciation and he is eagerly being watched to see what he comes up with in Virata Parvam starring Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi. According to Venu, the major part of the shoot of Virata Parvam has already been wrapped up. Recently during the media interaction, Venu Udugula revealed that Rana Daagubati and Sai Pallavi starrer Virata Parvam is a perfect tribute for the women.
The film Virata Parvam is a social drama which is being bankrolled by Suresh Babu, Sudhakar Cherukuri. The movie is set in the 1990s and narrates about a political incident that turns out to be a personal rivalry.
Venu Udugula added, “Rana Daggubati is playing the lead and crucial role. Fidaa fame Sai Pallavi, Nandita Das, Zarina Wahab, Priyamani and Eswari Rao will be seen in other prominent roles. Every role has its own importance . .Sai Chand and Naveen Chandra will be seen in other key roles. The movie Virata Parvam is a perfect tribute for women.”
It is being heard that Sai Pallavi will play a role that’s loosely inspired by the folk singer Belli Lalitha. Apart from a rift with her father, she becomes a victim of unforeseen circumstances, leading her to join the naxal movement. But Venu said, “Sai Pallavi is not playing the role of Belli Lalitha but her role is very intriguing and crucial to the movie. The desire to bring the change, the fearlessness and various movements that I witnessed while growing up in Warangal have all found expression in this film Virata Parvam.”
