Shravan Rathod of Nadeem-Shravan fame passed away in a reportedly critical condition due to Coronavirus complications on Thursday night at SL Raheja hospital in Mahim, Mumbai. His Bollywood colleagues including Akshay Kumar, Shreya Ghoshal and Adnan Sami have mourned the loss. Shravan Rathod was 66 years old.
The duo Nadeem-Shravan followed Aashiqui with impressive soundtracks in Saajan, Phool Aur Kaante, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin, Sadak, Deewana, Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke, Dilwale and Raja Hindustani among others.
Nadeem Shravan got the big break with film Aashiqui that made records in the music world. The Mahesh Bhatt’ directorial venture put the composer duo Nadeem-Shravan on the map as they went on to score for super hits such as Sadak , Saajan and Phool Aur Kaante the next year. The music albums such as Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Deewana, Raja, Agni Sakshi, Jeet, Pardes and Raja Hindustani followed.
Nadeem Saifi and Shravan Rathod, who were popularly known as Nadeem-Shravan, parted ways in the year 2005 after which Shravan was largely missing from the music scene. And they reunited to compose for David Dhawan-directed Do Knot Disturb in the year 2009.
