The director Vignesh Shivan and lady superstar Nayanthara had some time back acquired the production and distribution rights of the upcoming Tamil film Koozhangal /Pebbles under their Rowdy Pictures banner. The Tamil film Koozhangal was announced to be the winner of the prestigious Tiger Award, after being screened at the IFFR- International Film Festival of Rotterdam earlier this year.
The movie Koozhangal is helmed by PS Vinothraj and the film is based on a real incident of the director’s family. The love birds Nayanthara and Vignesh are on the ninth cloud. The film maker Vignesh Shivan took to social media yesterday to share few photographs of himself with Nayanthara holding the Tiger Award.
Vignesh Shivan came up with the caption: With our first international award our First Film Pebbles Koozhangal got us home the prestigious Tiger Award IFFR all the way from Rotterdam to Chennai as we hold it close to our heart and thankful to the director PS Vinothraj and his team for making this gem. All the accolades and encouragement this film is garnering makes us so happy and proud ! Meantime our director is in the Romania to collect his next award.”
On the work front, Nayan and Vignesh are currently working together for the movie Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal.
