Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently working for his upcoming social drama Acharya, which is being directed by Koratala Siva. Except the songs, the entire shoot of Acharya has been completed. It also has Kajal Aggarwal, Pooja Hegde and Mega Power Star Ram Charan. After wrapping up the entire shoot, Chiranjeevi will start working for his next Telugu project which is remake of Malayalam drama Lucifer.
Last year Chiranjeevi surprised his fans by announcing that he will be playing the lead in the Telugu remake of hit Malayalam film Lucifer. While there were speculations that Sujeeth of Saaho fame will helm the film, the team surprised fans by announcing that Mohan Raja will direct the project. According to the latest buzz, the makers of Lucifer remake have locked the title Godfather for Chiranjeevi starrer. Sampath Nandi is rumored to have sacrificed his title to Chiranjeevi.
The sources say that when the makers of Chiranjeevi Lucifer remake decided to name the Telugu version as Godfather, the Film Chamber had informed them that Sampath Nandi had already registered the title. So Chiranjeevi contacted Sampath Nandi and he decided to sacrifice it.
The project Lucifer remake will be jointly produced by NV Prasad and Konidela Productions. Interestingly, Satyadev has been roped in to play a crucial role in the film.
