Sonu Sood has been one of the heroes of the Coronavirus pandemic and among the few actors to make more headlines for philanthropic endeavours rather than on-screen ventures. Now according to the latest report, Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has lent support to the severely malnourished two and a half years old girl named Afeefa Maryum, who has severe the anemia and non-healing wound. She was admitted to Ankura Hospitals, LB Nagar and was cured successfully by Ankura Hospitals in association with Sood Charity Foundation.
Dr Srinidhi from the Medical Director at Ankura Hospitals said, the baby girl Afeefa Maryum was admitted to the hospital last month with chronic non healing wound with the intermittent bleeding and severe anemia with the malnutrition.
A year ago, Afeefa Maryum sustained the burn injuries on her left side of the head, hand, neck and upper back when hot oil fell accidentally over her. As her parents had no money for further treatment, they contacted actor Sonu Sood and Sood Charity Foundation for the help and were referred to Ankura Hospitals.
After the care and services from a team of the doctors for 4 weeks enabled the girl child to survive. Dr Krishna Prasad Vunnam revealed that it was a dream come true for the parents and doctors here, as they discharged a healthy baby.
