Yesterday India’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a 30-feet bronze statue of freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju celebrating the latter’s 125th birth anniversary. The statue of Alluri Sitarama Raju was installed in the Municipal Park at ASR Nagar in Bhimavaram, commemorating with Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav to mark the 75th anniversary of Independence.
Jana Sena president and actor Power Star Pawan Kalyan who was very close to BJP and PM Narendra Modi, did not attend the unveiling statue of freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju in Bhimavaram on Monday despite Union Minister Kishan Reddy inviting him to the event. On the otherside, his brother and megastar Chiranjeevi participated in the event.
Though Pawan Kalyan skipped the event, but he welcomed PM Modi in Bhimavaram through a video message. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was seen very close to PM Modi that gave a hint that all is well between BJP and YSRCP.
Few are saying that Pawan Kalyan skipped the event as he did not want to share stage with Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. It’s also a plan to send an indication to BJP leadership that he wants to maintain the distance with them for not announcing him as the chief ministerial candidate of the BJP-Jana Sena alliance for next Assembly elections.
