The young Rebel Star Prabhas is popular for action entertainer movies. In a few movies such as Mirchi and Baahubali series- Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Prabhas did action and the movie was loaded with heavy actions. But now Prabhas starrer upcoming drama, which is tentatively titled Jaan, may not feature as much action as in his previous movies. Prabhas starrer Jaan will lack the mass variety.
Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava and Maharshi fame Pooja Hegde is on the board to play the female lead in Jaan, which is helmed by Radha Krishna Kumar. This is the first time, Prabhas and Pooja Hegde are working together for a film.
Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer Jaan are a period romantic entertainer drama set in the 80s Italy. Prabhas will be seen playing palm readers whereas Pooja Hegde as a teacher. Pooja Hegde has starred in popular Telugu films like Oka Laila Kosam, Mukunda, Duvvada Jagannadham, Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, Maharshi, and Gaddalakonda Ganesh. Prabhas’ Jaan marks her tenth Telugu project. The sources close to the makers revealed that the chemistry between Prabhas and Pooja Hegde will be one of the major highlights of this film, which will hit the big screens next year.
Jaan is being bankrolled by Prabhas’ uncle Rebel Star Krishnam Raju. Bollywood music composer Amit Trivedi is rendering the tune. The upcoming film will be predominantly shot in foreign locations and is all set to go on floors on 18th November. In fact, some portions of the movie Jaan which involved Prabhas were shot in Paris last year.
Radha Krishna Kumar’s debut film was Jil in which Gopichand played the lead role, which turned out to be a super hit. On the other side, Prabhas was last seen in Saaho, directed by Sujeeth. In this film, Prabhas shared the screen space with Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor.
