According to the latest buzz, Samantha is playing a character with negative shades and she will be seen playing the role of a terrorist in this web series The Family Man 2. It is being said in the film industry, that Baahubali and Ghazi fame Rana Daggubati helped Samantha Akkineni to grab the web series The Family Man 2.
Rana Daggubati, the son of Suresh Babu, is the one who took Baahubali to Bollywood producer Karan Johar. He is also helping Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda and Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor. It is known the news that nowadays Vijay Deverakonda is spending most of the time with Bollywood stars. Rana Daggubati is one who is arranging the meeting of Vijay Deverakonda with Karan Johar and other filmmakers. Not only this, but he is also linking the likes of Shahid Kapoor to Telugu filmmakers.

Devadarshini, who known for her roles in Marmadesam and the Kanchana series, has been roped in to play an important role in the web series The Family Man 2, alongside Samantha Akkineni.
Created by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, the first season charts the story of a middle-class man secretly working for the TASC branch of National Investigation Agency. Starring Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani and Sundeep Kishan, the 10-episode first season was premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 20th September 2019. The makers have already completed with half of the shoot for season 2 starring Samantha and will wrap up the second half in May 2020.
