The celebrities from the South Indian film Industry have been doing their part in campaigning the much needed social distancing. With a lockdown announced across the country for 21 days and people being urged to stay home in quarantine and maintain social distancing norms, Telugu film Industry too is urging their fans to stay at their home. The stars from the film industry are coming forward to donate the money for the Chief Minister relief funds of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The young actor Nithiin was the first person from the Telugu film industry to announce that he would donate Rs 10 lakh each to both governments and later had even met Telangana Chief Minister KCR to hand over the cheque. Now Young Rebel star Prabhas and Young Tiger Jr NTR have also come forward and announced their donations.
Baahubali star Prabhas donated Rs 4 Cr contribution to Prime Minister relief fund and Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Chief Minister relief funds, for the same cause. Mirchi star contributed Rs 3 Cr to Prime Minister relief fund and rest of the amount to Two Telugu states- AP and Telangana.
On the otherside, Jr NTR donated Rs 75 Lakh towards the fight against Coronavirus, in which, 25 lakh towards Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state CM relief funds each and 25 Lakh for the daily wage cine workers from Tollywood.
We have already reported that Megastar Chiranjeevi, Power Star Pawan Kalyan, Mega Power Star Ram Charan and many others announced donation towards the CMs relief funds of both states to join the fight against the Coronavirus.
