Celebrated scriptwriter and author Kanika Dhillon, the writer of Manmarziyaan, Judgemental Hai Kya and Guilty, has spoken about the challenges she faced early in her career. Kanika Dhillon also feels women are equally responsible for the existing rape culture.
Recently during the media interaction, Kanak Dhillion revealed that she was harassed early in her career in the film industry. She also added that she wanted to leave this industry.
Kanika Dhillon also added, “Since I have been made to feel so unworthy because of my s*x, I hit back harder, and today, I want to charge the maximum that I can. Today, I am amongst the highest-paid writers in this film industry because that’s where I wanted to be. And that is something I promised myself because I was made to feel victimized, harassed and not good enough.”
Kanika Dhillon also added, “ Women are equally responsible for the existence of misogyny. I believe that the real change starts when every mother and sister of the rape accused takes a stand and asks for punishment instead of protecting the victim. Women and men are collectively responsible for every rape that happens everywhere. The women who protect a man who has committed the crime.”
