The first look poster of Regina Cassandra from her upcoming movie Soorpanagai has been unveiled which is going viral on the social media. The first look poster is unveiled on social media by Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi. Soorpanagai is an women-centric film which is being helmed by Caarthick Raju. Coming on the first look poster of Soorpanagai, Regina Cassandra is seen inside an iron torture chamber.
Director Caarthick Raju, who is known for his film Thirudan Police, is working with actress Regina Cassandra for a bilingual, which is titled Soorpanagai in Tamil and Nene Na in Telugu. Recently, the director interacted with media and talked about Regina Cassandra’ role in the movie. According to him, Regina Cassandra’ character in Soorpanagai, has a deep connection with one of the characters of Ramayana – Surpanakha.
Caarthick Raju also added, “Regina Cassandra is playing an archaeologist in the film Soorpanagai. She unearths something that triggers a series of events. The film Soorpanagai is about the good and bad outcome of her actions.
The director Caarthick Raju added, “In Ramayana, Surpanakha is a tough woman but she also has another side to her, which is soft and falls in love with lord Ram. Similarly, Regina Cassandra’ character is also a strong and tough woman in this film, who has a kinder side to her.”
Apart from Regina Cassandra, the film also has Jayaprakash and Akshara Gowda in the curial roles. The makers are planning to release Soorpanagai during Summer.
