Karthi in and as Sardar

Karthi who was last seen playing the lead in Sulthan in which he romanced Kannada lady Rashmika Mandanna,  under the direction of Bakkiyaraj Kannan, is now working for his next project, which is titled Sardar. Karthi starrer Sardar is  helmed by PS Mithran who earlier made Irumbu Thirai and Hero, and it has Venky Mama and World Famous Lover fame actress Raashi Khanna as  the leading lady.  In this upcoming film Karthi will make his screen presence in a dual role. The makers of Sardar also unveiled the first look poster.

Regular shoot of Sardar will be commenced from 26th of this month. Apart from the lead pair, the film Sardar also has Rajisha Vijayan in the crucial roles. George C Williams has been roped in to handle the cinematography department whereas GV Prakash Kumar is the music director.

Ruben  is the editor of Sardar, K Kadhir is the art director and Dhilip Subbarayan is the stunt director.  Sardar is penned by M.R Pon Parthipan, and Roju, Bipin Ragu  whereas it is bankrolled by S.Lakshman Kumar.

On the otherside, Karthi also has Mani Ratnam’ magnum opus the  multistarrer Ponniyin Selvan, which also has Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Vikram Prabhu, Trisha  and others in the crucial roles.
