On Wednesday, the Election Commission has granted YS Sharmila‘s strand to register her individual party YSRTP as a political party. The EC approached her and said that it has registered her political party in the name of “YSR Telangana Party.”
The EC has mentioned the full details about the registration of the party by saying, following the application made by her in December 2020, it had gone into all the documents produced in support of the application and the submissions made by ratified representatives of the party before the commission on Jan 17, 2022.
In response to the public notice generated by the applicant in the newspapers and recognised that the protests were implausible. The EC elucidated that it has registered the YSR Telangana party as a political party under section 29A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 with effect from February 16, 2022. After following a due procedure, the party can convey to the EC as early as possible, if it supposed to make any altercations in the name, head office, office bearers or address.
Anyway, Sharmila felt glad and celebrated in the Lotus Pond office of the party and she cut the cake with pleasure. The registration of YSRTP has been kept in hold by the EC in January, following a representation from one Mahabub Basha from Kadapa who is the president of Anna YSR Congress Party, and the Election Commission said that the name “YSR Telangana Party” is just like “Anna YSR Congress Party.”
