Everyone is aware of that Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan have brought the Telugu remake rights of Malayalam hit Lucifer in which Mohanlal played the lead roles. Chiranjeevi himself has confirmed the news during his recent media interaction. Currently, Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi are in the hunt of a director. The movie is kept on hold right now. It was revealed that the Telugu remake of the Malayalam super hit will be helmed by filmmaker Sukumar. The sources say that Chiranjeevi was planning to finalize a director who can handle the script keeping up with the flow of the original script and zeroed in Sukumar for it but the director has rejected the offer.

According to reports, the Sukumar has refused to direct Chiranjeevi and asked him to find a new director. The grapevine suggests, Rangasthalam filmmaker Sukumar is not ok with directing a remake as it comes with quite a few creative limitations.

Sukumar usually prefers to work for fresh scripts and he is not ready to helm Lucifer remake for Chiranjeevi.

It is heard that Sukumar said that he would love to work with Chiranjeevi in the coming days if Megastar decides to do an original movie.

Sukumar is currently busy in the pre-production work of his next upcoming directorial venture #AA20 in which Stylish star Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna will play the lead role. The director Sukumar has a jam-packed schedule.

On the other side, Chiranjeevi will soon be kickstarting his next upcoming film, which will be helmed by Koratala Siva. The movie is tentatively titled #Chiru152 and it will hit the theaters next year.

Mohanlal starrer Lucifer had Manju Warrier, Vivek Oberoi, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran in pivotal roles. It was produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the Aashirvad Cinemas production company. Lucifer marked the directorial debut of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran.
